Nepenthe - Julianna Barwick

Avec une voix éthérée, Julianna Barwick nous transporte, sur Nepenthe, dans un univers sonore transcendant et hypnotique.

La démarche musicale et artistique de Barwick est singulière; Nepenthe fut construit autour de tableaux sonores contemplatifs où la musique et les voix s’entrelacent. La richesse des arrangements et de l'instrumentation peut être attribuée aux contributions des Islandais Alex Somers de Sigur Rós (Kveikur), qui a produit l'album, des membres de múm et du quatuor Amiina.
