Playing the Room – Avishai Cohen & Yonathan Avishai

Playing the Room témoigne de la longue complicité musicale entre le trompettiste Avishai Cohen et le pianiste Yonathan Avishai.

Les deux musiciens israéliens ont commencé à explorer le jazz en tant qu’adolescents à Tel Aviv et ont continué à jouer ensemble depuis. Avishai a d'ailleurs contribué de manière significative aux albums acclamés Into The Silence et Cross My Palm With Silver, enregistrés par Cohen pour l'étiquette ECM.

Playing The Room a été enregistré à l'Auditorio Stelio Molo RSI, à Lugano, et produit par Manfred Eicher.
