Balsams - Chuck Johnson

Chuck Johnson's Balsams is an ambient soundtrack created around a pedal-steel guitar - much closer to Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno's soundscapes than the folk tradition - which results in a decidedly contemporary and astonishing musical expression.

Johnson's guitar and treatments are ethereal, fluid and comforting. The whole of Balsams bathes in a warm and gently hypnotic glow. Wonderful!
