The album Crack-Up has marked a considerable evolution for the band Fleet Foxes, as much in terms of Robin Pecknold's writing as in terms of production. Although tinged with melancholy and cynicism, the Fleet Foxes' music is here more exalted, even pastoral at times; the arrangements are richer, denser and more complex.
