A landmark of psychedelic blues-rock!
After their very influential 1965 self-titled debut album, The Butterfield Blues Band laid the foundations, with the release of East-West the following year, of what would become known as psychedelic blues-rock.
Formed in Chicago, The Butterfield Blues Band was led by expert harmonica player Paul Butterfield, who was accompanied by rhythm guitarist Elvin Bishop, outstanding guitarist Mike Bloomfield, bassist Jerome Arnold, keyboardist Mark Naftalin and drummer Billy Davenport.
