Heart Like a Levee - Hiss Golden Messenger

Hiss Golden Messenger is a current folk-country ensemble led by Californian M.C. Taylor. Heart Like a Levee remains one of their most accomplished works, both in terms of writing and arrangements. On the album Taylor is joined by Bradley Cook on bass, Phil Cook on piano, Matt McCaughan (Bon Iver) on drums, Matt Douglas and Michael Lewis on brass, as well as back vocalists Tift Merritt and Alexandra Sauser-Monnig.
