Reissue (2020 - Wewantsounds) of Ryuichi Sakamoto's landmark third solo album, Hidari Ude No Yume (Left Handed Dream), originally released in 1981 on the Alfa label.
Sakamoto (piano and vocals) is joined by Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) musicians Haruomi Hosono (bass, keyboards, vocals) and Yukihiro Takahashi (drums, vocals), keyboard programmer extraordinaire Hideki Matsutake, violinist Kaoru Sato, saxophonist Satoshi Nakamura and American guitarist Adrian Belew (David Bowie, The Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club).
The album was initially co-produced with British producer Robin Scott and recorded at the legendary Alfa Studio "A" in Tokyo. The present reissue has been remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original tapes.
The vinyl record comes with the original cover by renowned photographer Masayoshi Sukita and includes a four page insert with a new introduction by journalist Anton Spice.
