Into The Silence - Avishai Cohen

Into The Silence is the debut album on the ECM label as a leader for the charismatic Tel Aviv-born trumpeter Avishai Cohen.  Into The Silence is a suite of expansive and impressionistic compositions for jazz quartet (trumpet, piano, bass, drums), amplified by tenor saxophone on a few pieces.

Recorded at Studios La Buissonne in the South of France and produced by Manfred Eicher, the album features Avishai Cohen on trumpet; Bill McHenry on tenor saxophone; Yonathan Avishai on piano; Eric Revis on double-bass and Nasheet Waits on drums.
