Pianist and composer Carla Bley is a living jazz legend. What's more, the Bley-Sheppard-Swallow trio, formed over 25 years ago, is a temple of complicity and eloquence.

Life Goes On, which takes the form of three musical suites, all three composed by Carla, is thoughtful and restrained, with a restful atmosphere; sometimes melancholic, but also luminous and full of spontaneous melodic lines that flow between the harmonic turns of the pieces.
