After a first collaboration, Get Up (2013), which earned them the Grammy for'Best Blues Album' (2014) the symbiotic duo Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite are back with No Mercy In This Land.

Musselwhite, legendary blues harmonica player, singer and conductor has played with John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, Howlin' Wolf, Big Joe Williams, Bonnie Raitt, Blind Boys of Alabama, Tom Waits and INXS. He was inducted into the Blues Hall Of Fame in 2010.

Harper, guitarist and songwriter, has been critically acclaimed throughout his diverse career and although he has been labeled blues, folk, soul, reggae and rock he has always been one of those artists who transcend genres.

On No Mercy In This Land, Harper and Musselwhite do not reinvent the blues. They don’t have to do it. What they present on the album are ten songs that make you want to listen to even more blues.
