Coming from the British jazz scene, where talents such as Shabaka Hutchings, Moses Boyd, Ezra Collective, Nerija, Kokoroko and Kamaal Williams have emerged one after the other, Emma-Jean Thackray, a talented trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and DJ, has founded her own label, Movementt, in 2020.

Her EP Rain Dance (2020), with a psychedelic fusion of jazz, electronic music, Madlib-influenced beats and experimentation is as vibrant as it is luminous, reveals an immense talent and a unique creative vision.
