Sylva – Snarky Puppy and Metropole Orkest

Sylva (2015 - Impulse!), Snarky Puppy's debut album for the Impulse! label, is one of the most ambitious projects for this inventive instrumental collective, led by bassist, composer and producer Michael League.

Recorded live in its entirety, Sylva, a dreamlike cinematic concept album dedicated to the forest, marks a different direction from previous Snarky Puppy projects. In addition to being the band's first recording with a symphony orchestra, the renowned Metropole Orkest of the Netherlands, the music was composed specifically for the 63-piece ensemble early in the creative process.
