Tempest Revisited – Hedvig Mollestad

Hedvig Mollestad is back with a brand-new solo album, Tempest Revisited (2021 - Rune Grammofon), a few months after the release of the excellent Ding Dong. You're Dead. (2021 - Rune Grammofon) made with her own group, Hedvig Mollestad Trio, and just 18 months after the impressive Ekhidna (2020 - Rune Grammofon ) for which she won a Spellemannpris (Norwegian Grammy).

The charismatic Norwegian guitarist's new album, features Trond Frønes (bass), Ivar Loe Bjørnstad (drums), Marte Eberson (keyboards), Martin Myhre Olsen (saxophone), Peter Erik Vergeni (saxophone, flute) and Mona Krogstad (saxophone).

Hedvig Mollestad is certainly one of the most outstanding electric guitarists of our time. Mollestad has a unique talent for fusing avant-garde jazz and progressive rock elements and the artistry of her music is remarkable.
